Whenever you connect your accounts with Finny, we are only able to access your data in read-only mode. This means we can view your account information to provide insights, summaries, and recommendations—but we cannot move money, initiate transactions, or make any changes to your accounts. Your funds remain entirely under your control.

We use advanced security protocols to ensure that your information remains protected at every step. Our systems are built with industry-standard encryption, secure authentication flows, and continuous monitoring to detect and prevent unauthorized access.

Secure Account Connections

We partner with industry leaders for account connectivity. When you link your bank or investment accounts, we use Plaid and SnapTrade—both trusted, secure platforms used by thousands of financial applications. We never see or store your banking credentials; connection is handled entirely through these secure third-party services.

Our Data Privacy Commitment

We will not share your personal data with anyone unless you have explicitly asked us to do so. We do not sell your data. We do not use your information for advertising purposes. Your financial data stays yours, and we treat it with the respect and confidentiality it deserves.

Infrastructure Built for Security

Our infrastructure is designed with multiple security layers. We securely store access tokens and all personal data within restricted, protected environments. Your information is never shared outside our organization, and access is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate and improve the service.

Your Role in Security

Security is a partnership. While we work to protect your data on our end, your role matters too. Please use a strong, unique password for your Finny account. Avoid reusing passwords from other services, and consider enabling two-factor authentication where available. A strong password is one of the most effective ways to keep your account secure.
